Dawn Trigg | Broker Associate, REALTOR®
Dawn is a GRI REALTOR® and broker associate with Showcase, and a 30-year Ocala resident. She holds bachelor degrees in Health Science from UF and Elementary Education from Saint Leo’s University. In New York, as well as Florida, she developed a career as a dental hygienist and transitioned to education in the early 2000s. She has previously taught at Grace Christian School here in Ocala. A wife of 32 years and mother of two, Dawn enjoys being active in her community by holding memberships to several local organizations: she previously held board positions with the Junior League of Ocala and the Pioneer Garden Club, was an executive with Marion County Medical Society Auxilary, and was a board member of Grace Episcopal School. Currently, she is a member of the Ocala Marion County Board of Realtors, and attends First United Methodist Church of Ocala.
Dawn’s love of real estate stems from the social and human aspects of the profession, and she thoroughly enjoys meeting new people. Continuing her education in real estate is also crucial to her as a professional in the field. She utilizes her growing knowledge and active listening skills to help her customers achieve their goals, and brings her emphasis on personal integrity and honesty to bear on every transaction she makes.
What’s your favorite aspect of living in Marion County?
The friendly people, beautiful rolling landscapes, and unique granddaddy oaks. I also appreciate the area’s shopping, its caring, professional, up-to-date medical community; and its support of the arts. Ocala is also a short drive away from either coast, and has easy access to interstates, which is convenient.
What keeps you passionate about real estate?
Participation in continuing education to stay up to date on best practices, meeting new people and getting to know them as we work together to buy and sell, and building knowledge and pride of my community. I like that this area has a variety of different types of properties: horse farms, residential with acreage, family homes, 55 plus communities, golf course communities etc. Marion County has it all!
What do you do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, boating and being on or near the water, cooking, reading, exercising, and travelling, especially for active vacations that include biking and hiking.
Cats, dogs, or neither?
Currently we have a French bull dog, Eddie, and our daughter’s handsome tuxedo cat , Sox. We have had up to three dogs at a time. We lost our beloved English bull dog and Westie recently. We also have assorted pet fish in ponds and aquariums, lizards, snakes, turtles, birds, and hamsters.
What is your favorite type of food?
Eggs: versatile, adaptable, and good for you!
