Glen Baker
We are please to announce two of our newest agents Glen Baker and Louise Bono. Glen started his professional career in 1974, right out of the University of Florida with a BS in Finance, working his way up quickly to the Vice President of the Barnett Bank of Ocala. In 1981 he was hired on as the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Director of Finance, where he helped advise customers in financing their investments and purchases in the equine industry.
Louise Bono
Louise began her real estate career selling waterfront homes in Miami Bach for the Keyes  Company. She became a member of their Million Dollar Sales Club and got her Brokers license. In 1978 she moved with her family to Ocala and established Turning Point Farm, where they bred thoroughbreds and established Bono Realty. Bono Realty focused selling farms and land. With her husband Harry, they sold two golf courses, Citrus Springs in Citrus County and in Gainesville.

Ocala Star Banner Reports that HGTV Real Estate Shows have emerged as big hits on home-improvement television. Desire can inspire, no doubt, but sometimes, it fuels wants over needs. Real Estate Realty television is like a guilty pleasure, but can offer some intermediate real estate learning. Especially those fun terms like en suite bathroom or the difference between hardwood and engineered hardwood. Here are some of our favorites HGTV Real Estate Shows:

  • Buying and Selling
  • House Hunters
  • House Hunters International
  • Income Property
  • Love it or List It
  • Property Brothers
  • Rehab Addict
  • Selling New York
  • The Brian Boitono Project

Also, if your a Netflix subscriber you can now binge watch all of these shows on demand. Get additional information on this new trend.

 1. Confidence
When looking to a hire an agent, come prepared with interview questions. Responses should be backed with proof and evidence rather than nerves and fast talking.
2. Communication
Lack of communication is usually a sign of an inexperienced or incompetent agent. The agent is hired by you and should keep in regular contact. They should return your phone calls and emails.
3. Resources
Your agent should always go above and beyond to meet your needs. Placing a for sale sign in the front yard and putting the house on multiple listing services is not enough. An experienced agent will use all of their resources not just one or two.
4. Leadership
When selling a house, you want an agent who will fight to get you the best price possible. Your agent should not fold without a fight when negotiating their own commission with you either. If the agent won’t fight for their own income, they won’t fight for yours either.
5. Disorganized
Organization is key for any professional but even more so for agents dealing with paperwork, appointment and deadlines if not one but many customers. An agent shouldn’t be late, missing deadlines or forgetting your papers, this can often be the sign of an inexperienced or unprofessional agent
