The Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup, held at the HITS Post Time Farm in Ocala, drew 5,000 fans for an exciting day of equestrian competition on February 13. Congratulations to Team Ireland, whose four-rider team went home with the first prize in the $200,000 equestrian event.

Team USA finished second in the six team competition. The four other countries that sent teams were Canada, Columbia, Mexico and Venezuela. The weather was crisp but clear and beautiful – competitors and spectators alike praised the HITS facilities and the Ocala area. Quoted in an article in the Ocala Star-Banner, FEI first vice president John Madden thanked Ocala for being such a wonderful host city and noted its horse tradition. “The area fits so well,” he said.
