Phil Myers brings decades of experience in both the equestrian world and the real estate industry to his work with Showcase Properties of Central Florida. Raised in Ipswich, Massachusetts, Phil was drawn to horses at an early age and began riding seriously as a teenager, competing in hunters, equitation, and jumpers throughout New England. Horses have remained a constant thread throughout his life, shaping both his career and his connection to Ocala.
After attending Norwich University in Vermont, Phil entered the real estate field in his early 30s, first as a licensed agent in Massachusetts before transitioning into the mortgage industry. He spent more than 20 years working in financing with major institutions including Bank of America and Wells Fargo, while also gaining experience in architectural design, property development, and the construction of equestrian facilities. That breadth of experience has given him a practical, behind-the-scenes understanding of real estate that spans far beyond a single transaction.
Although Florida had long been a familiar destination through horse shows and time spent at HITS, Phil made the move to Ocala full-time in 2021. The area already felt like home — he had longstanding relationships within the equestrian community, deep familiarity with local farms, and family ties to the industry.
“I’ve been on many of the farms here and have known so many of the riders for years,” he says. “In a lot of ways, it felt like coming back to something I already knew.”
While Phil no longer rides competitively, he remains actively involved in the horse world as a trainer and continues to travel to shows throughout Florida and New England. His continued presence in the industry keeps him closely connected to the evolving needs of horse owners and farm buyers.
Phil joined Showcase Properties of Central Florida at the start of 2026, drawn to the company’s strong ties to the community and its thoughtful approach to land, farms, and residential real estate. While equestrian properties are a natural fit given his background, Phil works with a wide range of clients, including residential buyers and sellers, and has a particular appreciation for established properties with character and long-term value.
“I don’t think growth has to come at the expense of what makes an area special,” he notes. “There’s real value in preserving land, restoring farms, and investing in older homes and neighborhoods that already have history and craftsmanship.”
Phil enjoys helping clients find places they can truly make their own — whether that’s a working farm, a restored property, or a home that allows them to become part of the Marion County community he knows so well.
