Lauren brings a fresh perspective to everything she does, based on her determination, life experiences, and her unwavering commitment to development and growth.  Raised by a creative, passionate, and entrepreneurial mom, she was inspired from an early age to create a future that reflected her own talents and drive. Confident in her instincts, she learned to trust her own judgment and observations.

“I was only four years old when we moved to Florida from Minnesota,” she says. “It was just me, mom, and the horses and the dog. She wanted to stay home with me and be a mom, so she started a little business (Gator Horse Trailers) that eventually became one of the biggest in the nation. I was raised by a strong woman who didn’t let anyone tell her something was impossible.”

Her mother would also flip houses, while her uncle is a builder, so she was instilled early on with an appreciation for the real estate industry. Ocala was an ideal fit for her because of its natural beauty, places to explore, and deep roots in the equestrian industry. An avid hunter, hiker, and runner, she gets outside as much as she can. Lauren has also been a competitive rider all her life and continues to expand her equestrian disciplines, from hunter-under-saddle to barrel-racing, and is interested in the jumpers.

“Ocala has the outdoor aspect, a wonderful community, and the horses,” she explains. “I really wanted a piece of that back in my life, and Showcase is the kind of firm that really encourages that.”

The Covid pandemic temporarily delayed her educational plans, but she remained undaunted and was able to return to earn her real estate license. She will focus on residential and equestrian properties and is also interested in exploring avenues in Commercial real estate.

“Covid was kind of a blessing in disguise,” she says now. “It galvanized me and refueled my curiosity. I decided to have a different approach to health and work; knowing what I know through my own experience, I’m even more proactive and I’m a fan of both big and small achievements. Little victories are important. They get you where you need to be.”
